Fairbrook has appointed Medwell SA as the preferred Health Care service provider for the residents. They provide patient centred care with an emphasis on the clinical needs and requirements as well as the personal needs of the patient and family involved. In conjunction to this, we will have a nursing sister on duty on weekdays. The following Medwell SA health care services are included as part of the monthly levy to residents.

Initial and yearly re-assessment of each residents general health and well-being.
Access to clinic services manned by a registered nurse at the allocated Care Centre for all residents.
Availability of medical procedures prescribed by a medical doctor which fall within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse.
Advice and support regarding Resident’s general health and lifestyle to minimize and eliminate risks where possible with the aim to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
One home visit per month where a resident’s mobility may prevent them from attending at the Care Centre (this is only applicable where a person’s medical condition justifies a home visit).
Where applicable, a care manager will assist to obtain/request benefits from the medical aid on behalf of residents.
Access to Managed Home Health and Nursing Services (prices negotiated and determined by Medwell SA) are also available for residents should they require it. This is not included as part of the monthly levy and is for the residents own account.

“I have lived in Fairbrook since April and am very happy. I don’t have a patio therefore my lounge is nice, light and big. There was no need for a 3rd bedroom so they took two walls out and now I have a dining room where I can play cards with my friends. The kitchen is fantastic! A housewife’s dream. The second bedroom is used for guests or for sewing. The main bedroom has lots of space as well as nice cupboards. The two bathrooms have tiles from top to bottom, including the floor. The rest of the house has wooden floors. Fantastic!”
